The Kano State Comptroller of Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) IM Abubakar, has expressed zero tolerance in the service.
IM Abubakar stated this during a news conference to inaugurate 2024 nationwide sensitization campaign on mitigating corruption and enhancing service delivery.
According to him, there is need to sensitize the Officers of Immigration on how to fight, manage and sustain it in their operations.

IM Abubakar said inculcating the culture of integrity, transparency and efficiency within the ranks would help in enhancing image of the service.
“As we all know, corruption remains a critical challenge that halts our ability to effectively exercise our constitutional mandate, and there is need to call our Officers to order.
“As we launched this campaign today, we reaffirm our commitment to combating corruption which will go a long way in improving service delivery for all stakeholders”, IM Abubakar.
The Comptroller of Immigration Kano Command reiterates his commitment to engage in comprehensive outreach for educating staff of the service and public about the detrimental effect of corruption.
“This will pave way for adherence to ethical standards, accountability in our operations and the significance of providing efficient and courteous service to every individual we encounter”.
Comptroller IM Abubakar then commend the collaborative effort of other stakeholders in the fight against corruption, and urged men of the service to embrace the idea behind the campaign in their move to reorient the Nigerian nationals.
