A somber mood has enveloped Haye village in Kano State following the tragic death of a 25-year-old woman, Fatima Mohammed, who reportedly took her own life in her matrimonial home on Sunday, July 6, 2025.
The incident occurred around 12:25 p.m., and the lifeless body of the young woman was discovered hanging from a rope. Community leader, Mai Anguwa Hamza, promptly reported the matter to the Badawa Police Division.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed the development, noting that detectives swiftly responded to the scene. The body was evacuated to Sir Sunusi Specialist Hospital, where medical personnel confirmed her death.
The Kano State Police Command has since launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
