30 Nigerians have been selected by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia to participate the 2024 hajj under the full sponsorship of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The program tagged “Guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques”, is an initiative designed by the Kingdom to provide care and services to the special pilgrims selected fom around the world.
At a farewell ceremony organized by Saudi Embassy, Abuja on Saturday, the beneficiaries including Islamic scholars, media executives and personalities expressed appreciation on the special guesture.
Saudi ambassador to Nigeria, Faisal Ibrahim Al-Ghamidy highlighted the dedication of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serving and providing comfort to the pilgrims on pilgrimage.

Ambassador Al-Ghamidy emphasized that the Custodian of the holy mosques undertake constant responsibility of ensuring safe and spiritually enriching Hajj experience for all pilgrims, that he said underscores the Kingdom’s longstanding commitment to admitting Muslims worldwide.
The ambassador said “Under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Kingdom has made significant investments to enhance the pilgrimage experience and ensuring that all visitors can perform their religious duties with ease and peace of mind.
” We acknowledged the meticulous planning and extensive measures put in place by the Kingdom to accommodate and serve the millions of Muslims who undertake the Hajj pilgrimage each year. This dedication underscores the deep spiritual and cultural importance of the Hajj and the Umrah in the Islamic “.
Al-Ghamidy extended heartfelt gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed for their unwavering enablement to overcoming all challenges faced by participating countries during hajj.
The Programme of Guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is an esteemed initiative that annually sponsors and hosts thousands of pilgrims from various countries, enabling them to perform the Hajj with support and assistance provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to promote Islamic solidarity and fostering a sense of global Muslim community.
