68 Kano Inmates Record Success In 2025 NECO Examinations

Sixty-eight inmates of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Kano State Command, have successfully passed the 2025 National Examination Council (NECO) examinations.Kano legal services

This was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, CSC Musbahu Lawan Kofar Nassarawa.

The statement explained that the initiative is ou ygu line with the Correctional Service Act, 2019, which emphasizes the rehabilitation and reformation of inmates through education and vocational training. It also reflects the directive of the Controller General of Corrections, Selvester Indidi Nwakuche, urging heads of custodial centres nationwide to enrol inmates in academic and vocational programmes.

The Chairperson of the Prerogative of Mercy, Hajiya Azumi Namadi Bebeje, was quoted in the statement as congratulating the inmates on their success and commending Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his support.

Similarly, the Controller of Corrections, Kano State Command, Ado Inuwa, expressed delight over the inmates’ performance and wished them continued success in their reformation journey Kano legal services
