The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has allocated Max Air to Kano state for airlift of intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for 2025 pilgrimage.
The state pilgrims welfare board has confirmed the registration of over three thousand intending pilgrims who will perform the fifth pillar of islam through Kano.
Director General, Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa confirmed the development on Wednesday.
Alh. Danbappa said the allocation of Max air was announced during the stakeholders’ meeting and the signing of an agreement with airlines at NAHCON headquarters in Abuja.
Although, the DG could not confirm when Max air will begin the conveyance of Kano pilgrims to the holy land, he however disclosed transporting Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia is scheduled to commence on May 6, 2025.
Expressing satisfaction with the extensive preparations, Alh. Danbappa assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey for the pilgrims.
He also urged those who have not yet submitted their international passports to do so promptly before the deadline to avoid any delays.
In a statement signed by Sulaiman A. Dederi and made available to journalists on Wednesday, the Board reassures Kano State pilgrims of seamless experience both at home and abroad.
He said the selection of Max Air for Kano reflects NAHCON’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and comfort for all pilgrims undertaking the sacred journey.
