The Kano State Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ)has announced the passing of one of its esteemed members, Mr. Ted Odogwu, a veteran journalist and correspondent with The Punch Newspapers.
The news was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by the Chapel’s Chairman, Alhaji Aminu Garko, who described Mr. Odogwu as a dedicated professional known for his exceptional journalistic skills and unwavering commitment to truth.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our brother and colleague, Mr. Ted Odogwu. His contributions to our union and the journalism profession will be greatly missed,” the statement read.

The Chapel extended its condolences to Mr. Odogwu’s immediate family, The Punch Newspapers, and members of the public who followed his work throughout his distinguished career.
“May his legacy live on, and may his family find solace in the memories of his remarkable life and career,” the statement added.
Mr. Odogwu was widely respected in the media industry for his in-depth reporting and ethical standards.
He is remembered not only as a journalist but also as a mentor and pillar within the Kano press community.
“May his soul rest in peace. Amen,” the Chapel concluded.
