President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently presiding over an expanded Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in honour of Late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The meeting is part of the activities approved by the federal government to honour Buhari’s legacy as a Nigerian leader.
Speaking at the Meeting, President Tinubu eulogised Buhari for his service to the country.
President Tinubu said Buhari was unafraid of the loneliness that bequeath those who chose the right part, adding that he served Nigeria in war and even in peace.
According to him, the late Nigerian leader governed with public good in mind.
“His most important achievement was in democracy. He came at a time people thought change was impossible.
“He led without complain, the authority of office never changed him, he remained modest. He was a good man and a honorable man,” President Tinubu said.
Among those present at the meeting were the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume.
Also present were family members of late President Buhari and Cabinet members.
