The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil (ADUSTECH), has announced that preparations are at an advanced stage for the convocation of over 21,000 students who graduated from the institution in the past decade.
According to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, the upcoming 5th Combined Convocation Ceremony will celebrate the academic achievements of 18,000 undergraduate and 3,000 postgraduate students. The event is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the university’s main campus in Wudil, located about 35 kilometers from Kano metropolis.
Speaking during a press briefing, Professor Yakasai revealed that the university will also confer honorary Doctorate Degrees on distinguished Nigerians in recognition of their exceptional service and contributions to the nation.

The honorees include Alhaji Dahiru Mangal, Author Eze, Dr. Adeniyi Raji SAN, Alhaji Ado Mohammad Mustapha AMASCO, and Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso. The Vice Chancellor noted that the individuals were selected based on their integrity, track records, and commitment to humanitarian causes.
In a related development, the university will reappoint Alhaji Aliko Dangote as Chancellor of the institution for a second term during the convocation ceremony.
Professor Yakasai emphasized that the event will celebrate students who have graduated from the university within the past seven years, highlighting their academic success and the institution’s growth.
He further assured that comprehensive security measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of attendees and a hitch-free ceremony.
The Vice Chancellor also expressed gratitude to the Kano State Government for its support and provision of logistics necessary for the smooth conduct of the convocation. He announced that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf will serve as the Visitor to the university during the event.
