The National Leadership of Kano Science Schools Old Students Association (KASSOSA) has inaugurated seven subcommittees saddled with responsibility of organizing the 2024 annual general meeting (AGM).
This was contained in a statement signed by the public relations officer of the association, Halliru Sani obtained by ‘PEOPLE’S PEN’.
The statement said the committees was inaugurated during the association’s executive meeting held on Sunday the 13th October 2024.
The meeting which traditionally takes place at the National Secretariat under the aegis of the National President of the association was graced by executives and some appointed members.
Those inaugurated were the ‘Committee of Database’ purposely to take care of the sorting and archiving of KASSOSITES from the beginning to date headed by the Secretary General of the Association.

According to Halliru, the famous and widely known ‘Scholarship Committee’ will be chaired by Engineer Auwalu Rabi’u Spikin, while ‘Publicity Committee’ goes to Halliru Sani.
Other committees unveiled are the ‘Welfare’ to be led by Hajiya Binta Waziri, the ‘Entrepreneurship Committee’ chaired by Habibu Ahmadu, the ‘Constitution Review Committee’ under the auspices of Professor Ali Abdu, a one-time President of the association, while the ‘Education Committee’ will be headed by Engineer Mustapha Aminu Ibrahim.
At the Occasion however, Professor Aliyu Abdu who spoke on behalf of the chairmen of the committees urges heads and members of respective committees to showcase agility and determination to discharge the assigned duties with diligence.

Earlier in his remarks, the President of the association, Alhaji Balarabe Nuhu Jallah Danbatta called on the nominees of the various committees to be up and doing and observe term of reference of their respective committees so as to deliver to the fullest.
The President further appreciated frantic efforts of his cabinet members and Board of Trustees (BoT) for zeal and spirit of camaraderie in all engagements.
