Former President, Late Muhammadu Buhari, will be buried in his hometown of Daura in Katsina on Monday..
Buhari died on Sunday evening at a clinic in London, United Kingdom, while receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.
Taking to his verified Facebook page on Sunday night, Bashir Ahmad, social media aide to former President Buhari, said his former principal will be buried in his native Duara town.
He wrote: “The remains of our former President, Muhammadu Buhari, will be laid to rest in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State. The date and time of the burial will be communicated accordingly.”
Recalls that President Tinubu has since dispatched his deputy, Vice President Kashim Shettima, to London to accompany Buhari’s corpse back to Nigeria for burial.
