President Dangote Group, Alh. Aliko Dangote has advocated public-private partnerships, and strategic policies to drive a sustainable and knowledge-based economy in the country.

Besides, the business mogul suggested a prioritized investment in education at all level and skill development that foster a culture of lifelong as a key measure to hence growth.

Dangote gave the suggestion on Friday while delivering a convocation lecture at the 38th edition of Bayero University, Kano.

Advancing solutions to the attainment of a sustainable knowledge economy in Nigeria, the Kano-born industrialist posited that concerted priority is required in digital infrastructure.

Dangote, represented by Engr. Mansur Ahmad insisted that Nigeria can only attain the enviable height with a strong technological backbone to grow digital industries.

In his paper titled “Role of The Private Sector in Building a Sustainable Knowledge Economy in Nigeria”, Dangote said “embracing circular economy principles throughout the value chain become pertinent. This involves designing products with durability and recycling in mind, promoting material recovery that minimizes waste.

” We must create an environment conducive to entrepreneurship by offering financial support, mentorship programs, and easy access to venture capital for startups. Encourage a mindset that embraces risk-taking and innovation to spur economic growth.

” We must also prioritize digital literacy initiatives to ensure broad access and participation in the digital economy. Bridging divide is essential for inclusive growth, enabling a large segment of the population to contribute to and benefit from the knowledge economy”. Dangote noted.
