The Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, donates cows and food items to inmates in Custodial Centres in the State.
The gesture is part of humanitarian posture of the government to enable those in custody celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.
The governor made the donation through the Chairperson of the Kano State Prerogative of Mercy Committee, Hajiya Azumi Namadi Bebeji on Monday.

Spokesman of the state command of the Correctional Custody, SC Musbahu Lawan K/Nass in a statement said Hajiya Bebeji encouraged the inmates to have a sense of belonging as they are part of the society.
Hajiya Bebeji assured the inmates of the relentless support and assistance of the state government, calling the inmates to pray for the Governor as well as the state government so that they would continue to provide the dividends of democracy to all and sundry.
The Controller of Corrections Kano state command Salaiman M Inuwa on his part, appreciated the state government for the huge gesture and informed the governor’s envoy that the Service is always ready to partner with the government to enhance criminal justice administration in the state.
