Property worth million of naira destroyed as fire outbreak gutted the Mundubawa Kano residence of former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau.
Spokesman of Kano Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi who confirmed the inferno disclosed that the unfortunate incident occurred on Sunday evening.
Although, the spokesman said men of the service were able to put off the fire, the cause of the incident is still sketchy.
Also revealing the incident to journalists Media Adviser to the former Senator, Dr Sule Ya’u Sule said that the fire started from the inner kitchen of the House which was at the ground floor of the multi-million naira mansion.

He said, “We thank God the fire only affected one of Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau’s living rooms and already men of the State Fire Service had successfully put off the fire.
The Mansion built by Kano state government in 2011 as part of statutory benefits of former Governor, was first gutted by fire on a day that fell on Sunday in 2018.
