Ganduje Welcomes NDDC Chairman, Thousands of PDP Supporters to APC in Delta

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has officially welcomed the Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Chiedu Ebie, alongside members of the Delta Unity Group (DUG) and thousands of supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the APC.

The grand defection event took place in Delta State and was marked by celebration and a show of political strength by the APC. The mass defection signals a significant shift in the political landscape of the state, traditionally considered a stronghold of the PDP.

Dr. Ganduje, while receiving the new members, expressed his delight at the growing popularity and acceptance of the APC across the South-South region. He commended the decampees for their bold decision to align with the vision and progressive ideals of the party.

Present at the event was the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, who described the defection as a turning point for Delta State politics. He noted that the APC is now better positioned to make substantial electoral gains in the region ahead of the next general elections.

Also in attendance were members of the APC National Working Committee, key stakeholders, and notable party leaders from Delta State. They all praised the decision of the decampees and urged other well-meaning citizens to join the APC in its mission to bring development and good governance to all parts of the country.

The defection of Mr. Chiedu Ebie, a prominent political figure and current Chairman of the NDDC, along with members of the influential Delta Unity Group, is expected to further strengthen the APC’s grassroots appeal and political machinery in the state.
