Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has approved the reappointment President of Dangote Group, Alh. Aliko Dangote as Chancellor, Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil.
The reappointment follows the reconstitution of the Governing Council of the state University, which takes immediate effect.
The new governing board has retired Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Audu Aboki as Pro Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council. Justice Aboki took over from Abubakar Mahmoud, Senior Advocate and former President of Nigerian Bar Association.
A statement by Baba Halilu Dantiye, MON, mni, state Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, other new members include Professor Ibrahim Bello Kano, Professor Dije Muhammad Sulaiman, and Dr. Fa’iza Mukhtar Adhama.
Also appointed are Dr. Aminu Bello Wudil, Dr. Garba Abubakar, Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, Deputy Vice Chancellors Academic and Administration of the University, the representative of Private sector, Alhaji Sabiu Bako and the NUC representative will serve as members.
The rest are the four representatives of the Senate of the University, two representatives of University Congregation and a representative of the Ministry of Higher Education, while the registar of the University will serve as the Secretary of the Council.
