The Kano State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the sum of ₦151,863,895.97 (One Hundred and Fifty-One Million, Eight Hundred and Sixty-Three Thousand, Eight Hundred and Ninety-Five Naira, Ninety-Seven Kobo) for the reconstruction of a mosque that was destroyed by arson at Tiga Gadan in Gezawa Local Government Area on May 16, 2024.
The comprehensive project will also feature the construction of an Islamiyya school, an office block, the renovation of a six-room toilet facility, and the installation of a motorised solar-powered borehole with an overhead tank.
This approval fulfills a promise made by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf during his visit to the site of the incident, where he assured residents of his administration’s unwavering commitment to rebuilding the mosque and restoring the facility for religious and community use.

Residents of Tiga Gadan have expressed heartfelt appreciation for what they described as a commendable display of leadership and integrity. “This action is truly honourable and a clear demonstration that the Governor is a man of his word,” some residents remarked.
The Kano State Government has urged the people of Tiga Gadan to support the smooth implementation of the project and to ensure the safety and preservation of the new infrastructure.
