Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has presented permanent and pensionable appointment letters to 400 newly recruited Mathematics teachers across the state’s secondary school system.
According to a statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Governor said the recruitment is a direct response to subject gaps affecting performance and career readiness among students.
He explained that Mathematics is the foundation of science, technology, engineering and innovation, and Kano must build a strong base to compete effectively in a knowledge-driven world.

He commended the Ministry of Education and the Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB) for conducting a transparent and impactful recruitment process.
