Governor Yusuf Visits Father’s Grave On 62nd Birthday

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Sunday paid visit to his late father’s grave at Dandolo cemetery to offer special prayers on his 62nd birthday.

Governor who dedicated quality time of his visit to pray for the reposed soul of his later father, Alh. Kabiru Yusuf.

A statement by Governor’s spokesperson Sunusi Bature Dawaki Tofa said the Governor’s visit was parts of implicit style to mark his anniversary.

According to the statement, “The visit was a heartfelt moment for the governor as he paid tribute to the man who shaped his values and inspired his journey into public service”.

The late Kabiru Yusuf was a prominent member of the regional parliament in Kaduna and a seasoned administrator known for his integrity and dedication to his people.

Reflecting on his father’s legacy, Governor Yusuf said, “My father’s life was a testament to leadership rooted in service, humility, and unwavering commitment to justice. His memory continues to guide me in all I do.”

The governor also took a moment to honor his mothers, Malama Khadijatul-Naja’atu, a school teacher and a revered female Islamic scholar.

“My mother taught me the importance of education, faith, and compassion, values that have remained with me throughout my life,” he shared.

Accompanied by family members, aides, and a few close associates, Governor Yusuf recited prayers at the gravesite, asking Allah (SWT) to grant his parents Jannatul Firdaus.

Speaking about the significance of the visit, the governor remarked, “Celebrating my birthday at my father’s grave is a reminder of where I come from and the values that define me.

“It is also a moment to renew my commitment to serving the people of Kano with the same dedication my father had for his community.” Gov. Yusuf said.
