Following a directive from the National Hajj Commission, the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced fresh window of opportunity for intending pilgrims willing to perfect 2025 Hajj.
In a statement issued by spokesman of the board, Sulaiman Dederi, the state government has extended the deadline for payments to enable those who are yet to raise funds for the pilgrimage to do so.
According to release on Tuesday, the Director General of the Kano States Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, who disclosed the window said the extension follows the directive by National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON.
Speaking at the orientation workshop for staff and local government center officers at Grand Central Hotel, the DG urged interested participants to take the advantage of the window to complete the process of payment.
Alhaji Danbappa stated that the payment window will remain open for intending pilgrims until the first day of the Month of Ramadan.
He further revealed that, as of today, the board has so far remitted over N22 billion Hajj fare from Kano to NAHCON CBN account.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, urged staff and Local Government Hajj Center Officers to put in greater effort while discharging their duties.
Additionally, the Director General commended the Kano State Government for its swift response in addressing the board’s needs whenever required.
Speakers at the orientation program included Sheikh Muhammad Sani Ashir, Malam Nasiru Maccido, and Pharmacist Abdulrashid Habib Ibrahim, along with the Board’s Director of Planning.
