The Managing Director of the Kantin Kwari Market Corporation, Kano State, Ambassador Hamisu Sa’ad Dogon Nama, has lauded the Executive Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his unwavering commitment to revitalizing public education in the state.
Speaking to journalists in Kano, Dogon Nama praised the recent distribution of instructional materials worth ₦2.8 billion across public schools in the state. The materials, distributed on Monday, May 12, 2025, include laboratory equipment, textbooks, sportswear, sports kits, attendance registers, and laptop computers—resources aimed at improving both academic learning and extracurricular engagement.
He described the initiative as a testament to Governor Yusuf’s far-reaching vision for education reform.

“This is not just a donation of materials; it is a clear demonstration of purposeful leadership. The governor is laying a strong foundation for quality education in Kano,” he said.
Dogon Nama also highlighted other components of the governor’s educational agenda, including the recruitment of 17,600 school security guards, the absorption of BESDA staff into permanent service, and the solar electrification of 200 schools—steps he said are critical to creating a conducive learning environment.
According to him, Governor Yusuf’s 2025 budget allocation further underscores his dedication to educational transformation, with an unprecedented ₦168.4 billion—representing 31% of the state’s total budget—earmarked for the education sector.
“Governor Yusuf is a game changer in Kano’s education sector. His bold reforms and strategic investments are setting a new standard for governance and youth development,” Dogon Nama concluded.
