Renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Abubakar Salihu Zaria has criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the current economic hardships affecting the country.
The cleric’s remarks were made in a video that went viral on X and other social media platforms on Sunday.

Sheikh Salihu mentioned that he and other muslims supported and campaigned for Tinubu in the 2023 general elections, believing he would improve the country’s situation, but they were disappointed.

He stated that the president’s failure to address their concerns has led to them being ridiculed in their communities.

He emphasised that despite their efforts to communicate their hardships to the president, including speaking to him in his native language, their pleas were ignored.

The cleric lamented that they expected the Muslim-Muslim ticket to benefit Islam, but instead, the president has neglected their problems and those of society in general.
