The Chief Judge, Kano state, Justice Dije Abdu Aboki, has transferred the alleged corruption case involving the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and seven others to another court.
The former Governor, Dr. Ganduje, his wife Dr. Hafsat Umar, and six others have been dragged before Justice Usman Na’abba of the State High Court for alleged misappropriation of public funds.

The criminal proceedings being prosecuted by Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission is still at the infant stage, considering argument and counter reaction over service of charges.
Incidentally, the matter that was scheduled to continue today for hearing could not progress with the sudden announcement of the case transfer.
Confirming the latest development to journalists on Thursday, the Public Relations Officer of Kano State High Court, Baba Jibo Ibrahim intimated that the CJ of the state reassigned the matter to court 7, presided by Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu.
According to Jibo, ” The office of the CJ has move the case to another court. And as you know the CJ possess the power to direct and transfer a case at any stage so far it has not reached the level of judgement.”
On when the case will come up for hearing, the spokesman said the new Judge has the power to henceforth determination the destiny and destination of the matter.
Aside from Ganduje and family members, other parties standing in the criminal suit are Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Ltd, Safari Textiles Ltd and Lesage General Enterprises.
