Two months after his deposed, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has reinstated emir of Gaya, Alh. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir as second class monarch.
Similarly, Governor Yusuf approved the appointment of district heads of Rogo Alh. Alhaji Muhammad Mahraz Karaye as new second class emir of Karaye.

In the same vien, the government appointed district head of Bunkure, Alh. Mohammad Isa Umar as second class emir of Rano.
The Governor was silent on whether the deposed emirs of Karaye and Rano, who were not reinstated as second class would remain as district heads of their local government areas or not.
Presenting certificate of appointment to the three lower monarches Tuesday night at the Government house, Governor Yusuf urged them to ensure peaceful and harmony in their domains.
The appointment of the three second class traditional rulers comes less than 24 hours Governor Yusuf assented to the newly passed Kano State Emirate Council Establishment Law 2024.
A statement issued by a spokesperson to the Governor, Mr. Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, and made available to The Guardian early Wednesday said the new emirs are expected to take over their new emirate immediately.
According to the newly signed emirate law, the second class emirs shall dispense authorities in their designated domains under the leadership of Emir of Kano, Mohammadu Sanusi II.
