Intending Muslims seeking to embark on 2025 pilgrimage from Kano are advised to complete deposit of N8, 457,685.59 before February 3rd, deadline.
The state government also directed intending pilgrims who already completed the pegged final fare to submit their international passport for processes and issuance of Hajj visa.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) recently released the final fare for this year’s Hajj according to traditional zonal segmentation. Accordingly, Pilgrims from South zone are expected to pay N8,784, 085.59, their counterparts from Northern Zone will pay N8, 457,685.59 while those of Adamawa and Borno pay N8, 327,125.59.
Director General, Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alh. Laminu Rabiu Danbaffa who disclosed the new date for Hajj payment reminded there would be no room for extension at the expiration 3rd February.
Alh. Danbaffa spoke Sunday in Rano town, Rano local government area of the state while unveiling pilgrims weekly orientation and enlightenment program on the spiritual exercise.
DG pilgrims’ board hinted that Kano has so far recorded the highest registered intending pilgrims for the next Hajj added the readiness of the state government to provide needed support to its contingents at the holy land.
Briefing on the welfare arrangements in stock for intending pilgrims, Danbaffa who recently returned from the pre-hajj visit to Saudi Arabia assured of a befitting accommodation, feeding arrangements and transport both in Makkah, Madina and other sacred places of worship.
Chairman, Board of Directors, Kano Pilgrims Board, Alh. Yusuf Lawan tasked intending pilgrims seek the advantage of the enlightenment program to acquit themselves with the nitty-gritty of Hajj.
Alh. Lawan however cautioned participants the critical need to abide by the rules and regulations of Saudi Arabian authorities during their stay while embarking on the journey with intention to worship.
The orientation program which entails induction courses and enlightenment of intending pilgrims by dedicated Islamic scholars will hold simultaneously across all the zones including Bichi Center, Gwarzo Center, School of Arabic Studies which covers metropolitan councils’.
Other zones are Rimin Gado Center, Wudil zone, Gezawa zone, Kura center and Rano Center that also covers four local government areas.
