The Chairman of the Kano State Social Protection Platform (KASSOP), Malam Salisu Yusuf, has lauded the Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, for signing into law the bill that establishes the Kano State Social Protection Agency (KASPA).
Malam Salisu made the commendation while addressing journalists in Kano shortly after the bill was signed into law. He described the move as a significant milestone in the state government’s efforts to institutionalize social protection and uplift the living standards of vulnerable groups in the state.
According to him, the creation of KASPA will serve as a coordinated platform to tackle a range of societal issues affecting the less privileged, women, orphans, and children. “This is a welcome development that will strengthen the delivery of social protection services and ensure that government interventions reach those who need them most,” he said.
