The Kano State Government has inaugurated a special task force committee on the supply of potable water to the people of the state.
The Commissioner of Water Resources, Gwani Ali Haruna Makoda said the committee inaugurated by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf was expected to appraise the water situation and recommend ways to resolve it.
Makoda said the committee members are experienced Engineers who worked in the industry in the past, which Engr. Bello Muhammad Kiru will serve as the Chairman, Engr. Sunusi Usman Danbatta Member, Engr. Sulaiman Sani Makera Member, Engr. Garba Ahmed Bichi Member, Alh. Sule Ahmad Darma Member, Engr. Balarabe Yazid Wudil Member, Engr. Sunusi Usman Dambatta Member, while Engr. Bashir Sani Lawan will serve as the Committee Secretary.

The Commissioner stressed the need for the members to work tirelessly given their wealth of experience and by the term of reference as stipulated.
“Water is no longer just a human need but a human right and one of the core priorities of our administration”, Makoda.
He further urged the good people of Kano to give them maximum support and cooperation for the success of this administration to achieve its goals.
