Jointly signed by NLC Political Commission Chairperson, Comrade Titus Amba, and Secretary, Comrade Chris Uyot, the circular highlighted concerns over the unilateral decision of Labour Party National Chairman, Mr. Julius Abure, to proceed with a National Convention amid allegations of financial mismanagement and disregard for NLC leadership.

The statement emphasized the resolution reached during a virtual meeting between the NLC National Political Commission and state-level leadership on March 19, 2024.

It urged NLC State Councils and State Political Committees to mobilize workers for the picketing scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at all State Secretariats of the Labour Party.

The move underscores escalating tensions within the Labour Party and highlights the NLC’s determination to address perceived grievances against the party leadership.
