The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North-West zone on Saturday endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in the 2027 presidential election.
The endorsement came during the APC North-West Stakeholders Meeting held in Kaduna. The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass, moved the motion, which was seconded by the Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris. The stakeholders also passed a vote of confidence in President Tinubu, affirming their commitment to his second-term ambition.
The Governor of Kaduna State and APC North-West Coordinating Governor, Senator Uba Sani, read a communiqué on behalf of the zone’s stakeholders, reaffirming their collective support.

As part of the resolutions, all APC governors in the North-West zone were granted automatic tickets for a second term in the 2027 governorship elections.
Present at the meeting were the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and three governors from the zone: Senator Uba Sani (Kaduna), Mallam Umar Namadi (Jigawa), and Dr. Nasir Idris (Kebbi). Also in attendance was Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abass.
Other dignitaries at the meeting included Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin; Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu; and Minister of Environment, Balarabe Abbas Lawal.
Also present were former Speaker and Governor of Katsina State, Bello Aminu Masari; former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani; former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Ahmad Sani Yerima; and former governors Mahmud Shinkafi (Zamfara) and Senator Adamu Aliero (Kebbi).
The event also witnessed the participation of APC state chairmen from Kaduna, Kano, Zamfara, and Sokoto, along with former members of the House of Representatives from the zone.
