The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has constituted the appointment of Caretaker Committees for State, Local Government, and Ward chapters where their tenures expired.
The development was in accordance with the provisions of Section 29 (2) (b) of the Party’s Constitution.
These Caretaker Committees have been tasked to overseeing the affairs of the Party at their respective levels for a period of three months.

In a press statement signed by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary, on the 29th of March, the NWC calls upon all leaders, critical stakeholders, and members of the PDP to collaborate effectively to ensure the stability, growth, and prosperity of the Party across their respective states, local government areas, and wards.
The arrangements are as follows, Abia | LGA: March 22, 2024, Ward: March 15, 2024; Akwa Ibom | LGA: March 21, 2024, Ward: March 7, 2024; Bauchi | LGA: March 22, 2024, Ward: March 14, 2024; and Bayelsa State: March 23, 2024, LGA: March 21, 2024, Ward: March 7, 2024.
The NWC emphasizes that in cases where vacancies arise in the executive committees due to death, defection, or resignation, no replacements are to be made in the Caretaker Committees.
