Usman Ododo was sworn in as the Governor of Kogi State months after he was elected to take over from Yahaya Bello who had completed his second term in office.
Ododo took the oath of office at around 2:24 pm in Lokoja on Saturday.
His inauguration came just minutes after Salifu Joel Oyibo took his oath of office as the Deputy Governor of Kogi State.

With his swearing in, Ododo became the 5th Executive Governor of Kogi state.
Vice President Kashim Shettima and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Saturday attends the inauguration ceremony of Ahmed Ododo in the city capital Lokoja.
Shettima is representing President Bola Tinubu as the Special Guest of Honor at the historical event.
Ododo won the Kogi State governorship election of 11th November 2023, with 446–237 votes.
