Sallah: FRSC Deploys 1,889 Personnel In Kano

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has deployed 1,889 personnel to ease traffic flow during the Eid-el-Fitr celebration in Kano State.

The Sector Commander, Masa’udu Matazu, said this in a statement by the Spokesman of the Corps, Abdullahi Labaran, on Friday in Kano.

He said the Corps deployed five ambulances, patrol vehicles, one heavy-duty tow truck and other operational equipment to major routes and highways, to facilitate effective, smooth operations.

‘This is to ensure free flow of traffic on critical road junctions, and safety of lives and properties on highways,” he said.

According to Matazu, Eid-el-Fitr special patrol operation will run from March 27 to April 2, as 1,348 regular marshals and 541 special marshals would ensure safe, smooth vehicular movement, traffic control and give prompt attention to victims of road traffic crashes.

While urging motorists to respect traffic rules, Matazu warned against car racing and underage driving during the celebration.

“The FRSC Kano Sector Command wishes the good people of the state a peaceful and hitch-free Sallah celebration.”
