A private security guard, Nuradeen Shehu has reportedly committed suicide, Kano State Police command has confirmed.
Shehu, a 37-year-old, attached to a private school in Gwale local government area of Kano state was found hanging in one of the classrooms where he worked.
The Command’s Commissioner of Police Mohammad Usaini Gumel, who disclosed the ugly incident to journalists on Tuesday, said the command has launched a thorough investigation.

According to the CP, “On January 28 at about 10:30 am, one Abdullahi Abdulsalam of Rijiyar Zaki, brought a report that Nuradeen Shehu, a security guard at the college, was found motionless after he hanged himself with rope in a classroom.
” Sooner a team of Policemen from Gwale Division, led by the DPO, was deployed to the scene. Upon arrival at the scene, they forcefully unlocked the door, cut the rope, and rushed the body of Shehu to Murtala Mohammed General Hospital where a medical doctor confirmed him dead”. Gumel noted.
The CP further disclosed that the corps had already been released to the family of the deceased for burial.
He added that preliminary information indicated that the deceased might have hanged himself to death having realised that his ex-wife has remarried.
