Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a N65 reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, bringing the price down from N890 to N825 per litre. The new pricing takes effect from February 27, 2025.
According to the company, the price cut aims to ease the financial burden on Nigerians, particularly ahead of the Ramadan season, while also supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery initiatives.
This marks the second petrol price reduction in February 2025, following an earlier N60 cut earlier in the month. In December 2024, during the yuletide season, Dangote Refinery had also slashed petrol prices by N70.50, reducing it from N970 to N899.50 per litre to provide relief during the festive period.
With the latest adjustment, Dangote petrol will be available at the following prices across partner retail outlets:
MRS Holdings Stations:
Lagos: N860 per litre
South-West: N870 per litre
North: N880 per litre
Murtala Isah (Pharm)
South-South/South-East: N890 per litre
AP (Ardova Petroleum) & Heyden Stations:
Lagos: N865 per litre
South-West: N875 per litre
North: N885 per litre
South-South/South-East: N895 per litre
The Dangote Refinery assured the public of a steady supply of petroleum products, with sufficient reserves to meet domestic demand and a surplus for export, contributing to foreign exchange earnings.
The company also urged marketers to support this initiative, ensuring that Nigerians benefit directly from the price reduction.
