Final year students of Gyutiev Model College in Benue State allegedly set fire to their principal’s residence after discovering they were not registered for the 2025 NECO exams despite reportedly paying ₦85,000 each.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Friday, involved 178 students said to have been affected by the alleged registration failure.
Police spokesperson Udeme Edet stated that the command had not received an official report but assured that further details would be provided once confirmed.
