A prominent Fulani youth leader, and National Director Media/Publicity for Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Malam Munka’ilu Bala Bayero has extended his congratulations to the Muslim community on the successful completion of Ramadan, emphasizing the need for unity, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence across Nigeria.

Bayero urged Muslims to uphold the values of Ramadan by fostering patriotism and supporting government initiatives aimed at national development. He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for establishing the Livestock Ministry, describing it as a transformative step for the Fulani community. He expressed confidence that the ministry would modernize cattle rearing, boost profits, and align Fulani pastoral practices with global best standards.

“This is a significant achievement for the Fulani people in Nigeria. We are optimistic that this initiative will enhance our cattle-rearing business by enabling us to adopt modern livestock management techniques and maximize productivity,” Bayero stated.

As a key figure in the Fulani community and a member of the Coalition of Fulani Associations in Kano State, he encouraged his people to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan, emphasizing faith renewal and a commitment to national peace. Bayero also urged the government to address persistent challenges of discrimination and tribal bias against the Fulani, stressing the importance of inclusivity and fairness in governance.

He raised concerns over growing insecurity, particularly the recent surge in criminal activities in Agatu Local Government Area of Benue State. Highlighting allegations that criminal elements poisoned 20 cows belonging to a Fulani herder, he described the act as a serious threat to peace and stability. “The government must take urgent action against cattle rustling and poisoning, which have long affected Fulani herders. Those responsible for such acts must be brought to justice to serve as a deterrent to others,” he asserted.

Reaffirming the peaceful and law-abiding nature of the Fulani people, Bayero emphasized that Fulani associations would continue to advocate for harmony while ensuring that any miscreants within their ranks are held accountable under the law.

Expanding his call for unity beyond the Fulani community, Bayero expressed sympathy for the Northern people affected by the recent killings in Edo State. He urged a collaborative effort among Northern Governors to restore the lost glory of the region, stressing that those responsible for the attacks must be arrested and brought to justice. “As youth, we need to have full confidence in our leaders by showing concern for these happenings and ensuring that peace is maintained in our domains,” he said.

Bayero further urged the Federal Government to complement the developmental projects inherited from the Buhari Administration in the Northern region, noting that such efforts could bolster the prospects of Tinubu’s APC for reelection in 2027.

He also commended the leadership of Miyyeti Allah Kautal Hore President, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, for his unwavering dedication and selfless service to the Fulani community. Bayero called on wealthy Fulani individuals to emulate Bodejo’s commitment to uplifting their people and reshaping the negative narratives imposed on the Fulani.
