A member of the House of Representatives, Muhammed Hassan, who represents Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency in Kano State, has died.
His death was confirmed on Friday by Saifullahi Hassan, a media aide to Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, via his verified Facebook account.
He noted that the lawmaker had shown no signs of illness prior to his passing.
He was said to have attended a political meeting as recently as Tuesday at the Abuja residence of former Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
The meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming African Democratic Congress (ADC) State Congress, where party members are expected to elect a new State Executive Committee.
Hassan, a first-time legislator elected in 2023, was initially elected on the platform of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

In December, the state lost two members of the Kano State House of Assembly — Aminu Sa’adu, who represented Ungoggo Constituency, and Sarki Aliyu of Kano Municipal — both of whom died within hours of each other.
