Kano state Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has donated food stuff worth millions of Naira to the teaming staff of the Government House as part of his Ramadan gesture to them.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa on Sunday.
In a statement the foodstuff donated to the beneficiaries that range from GL 1 to GL 12 includes a 50kg bag of rice, a carton of macaroni, ten measure of millet, and the sum of N10,000 each.

Presenting the items in a special mood, the Governor expressed gratitude to Allah for allowing him to make the gesture which is aimed at bringing success to his staff during the blessed month of Ramadan.
“Today is a special day not only for me but my staff at Government House because I have started fulfilling my electioneering campaign promises of improving welfare packages to civil servants” he explained.
The Governor further disclosed that more goodies will be under way to the staff especially when they hold firm their individual and collective responsibilities.
“My relationship with you is not political therefore you can hold to your different opinions, but all I need from you is dedication, hard work, and prayers so that we can achieve what we are here for” the governor asserted
He then appealed to them to utilize the month of Ramadan by maximizing the act of Ibadat and also pray to the state and the nation for Allah’s intervention, particularly in this trying period.
Earlier, the Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo commended the Governor for his kind gesture, describing it as one of its kind ever in the state.
Comrade Abdussalam calls on the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture with a dedication to duties, trustworthiness, and prayers to the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
In their unanimous comments, the beneficiaries have described the Governor as teleworkers-friendly, confessing that this gesture is one of its kind and will go a long way in easing their hardships.
It is observed that for the four years administration of Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso and eight years administration of Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Government House staff never had it so good during Ramadan fasting when the staff were aided with foodstuff for Ramadan except this period as the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf breaks the 13 year record.
