Okuama Community Deserts Ancestral Home After Killings of 16 Soldiers 

 

The Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State where sixteen soldiers were killed has been deserted.

Meanwhile, there is strong indication that some angry soldiers may have razed the community, Channels TV reported.

Nevertheless, a manhunt for the killers of the soldiers has commenced and some persons were said to have been arrested, the military confirmed.

PeoplesPen24 reported that 16 personnel led by the General Officer Commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Jamal Abdussalam on a peace mission were ambushed on Thursday at the community.

The Chief of Defence Staff Lit. General Christopher Musa has ordered investigation on the incident that led to the ugly development.
