Sport Minister To Declare SWAN National Full Council Meeting Open In Kano 

All is set for the hosting of National Full Council Meeting of Sport Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), opening on Thursday 2nd, May, 2024 in Kano.

About 130 delegates from across 36 states and Federal Capital Territory are expected in attendance at the meeting that would be declared open by Minister of Sports, Mr. John Enoh.

The National Full Council delegates include 17 members of National Executive Council, former SWAN presidents, incumbent State Chairmen and Secretaries

Addressing Journalists on Sunday, Chairman National Mobilization Committee, Abdulgafar Oladimeji disclosed the constitutional council meeting, first of its kind under the leadership of Benjamen Isaiah, SWAN president will examine and finding solutions to pertinent national challenges.

Part of the burning issues that would be addressed, according to Oladimeji include resource management and restructuring of revenue generation that guarantees stable means of funding SWAN.

Besides, the Full Council will also feature conferment of award to sports giants include former Chairman National Football Association (NFA) Alh. Ibrahim Galadima, Alh. Isiyaku Umar Tofa (Dan AdalanKano), Kano state Commissioner for Information, Babba Halilu Dantiye, Oladimeji disclosed.
